Crime Northwest Noir: The Son of Satan Lives in Oregon

Investigators believe a 13-year-old Sandy boy waged a four-month reign of arson and chain saw destruction that caused crashes on U.S. 26 and blacked out residential neighborhoods east of Sandy.Indeed, boyz in the woods.The slight, brown-haired seventh-grader sat silently Wednesday in Clackamas County Juvenile Court as Judge Deanne L. Darling explained that he could face several years of juvenile detention if convicted. He is charged with burglary, arson, criminal mischief and reckless burning in a March 15 fire that burned a shed.
Meanwhile, Clackamas County sheriff's detectives are investigating the boy in the illegal cutting of 20 trees and power poles during late-night chain saw forays.

Sandy is SUCH a shithole. Too many god-bothering teahadists out there. I have in-laws who live out there, and they moved there to keep their kids safe from all the nefarious influences of the secular big ol' liberal city (Portland). So their kids promptly resorted to getting drunk and driving around, minor crimes and vandalism, and sleeping their way through the teenage population of the town. When kids have nothing productive or interesting to do, they tend to be creative at entertaining themselves.
I hate the place. All the traffic of the city, none of the amenities, and it takes HOURS to get anywhere.

This would be a lot funnier if one of the charges weren't arson. If he's a pyro, juvee, and probably nothing, is gonna fix that.
