Today in Absurd: IHOP's Latest Enfattening Effort

Posted by on Tue, Apr 27, 2010 at 12:41 PM

It's cheesecake-stuffed pancakes.

I don't even know what to say about these Extreme Foodz anymore.

They've figured out how to get you to post up their press releases. Who's zooming who here?

Unhealthy and fattening? Pardon me, but they're only unhealthy and fattening if your genetics say so.

Don't blame the food. Genetiiiiics.

They're delicious... my genetically skinny boyfriend ordered them on a trip recently and I had a bite... then it went straight to my hips.

You know you want to do a whole series on the horrors within.

The only thing good here is the sly Lebowski line they snuck in there.

If I want cheesecake I'll order cheesecake. My fave IHOP items, and the only things worth ordering IMHO(P?): buckwheat pancakes, and chocolate pancakes with the chocolate chips left out (cocoa batter only).

I've been working at IHOP since 2006. NY Cheesecake pancakes were introduced as a promotion in summer 2007, and became a permanent part of the menu in 2009. This "new" version simply incorporates the filling used in a lot of our holiday cakes.

Yes 5280, IHOP is still around even though their business decisions are really impractical. I hope that when I return to the US, I will no longer have to work there.

Extreme Food, because one way to cope with how pathetic and fat our country is, is to go to our happy place and eat some delicious food.

They cut off the crusts? WTF? It's not cheesecake without the crust!

Meh--- merely a low-class version of a cheese blintz......hardly earth shaking (or appetizing to me anyway).
