Joel Salatin, the organic rancher from Virginia who stole the show with his wild-eyed testifying in Food Inc., is in town promoting FRESH, another piece of (probably valid and good) cinematic propaganda about small farms and all that. He's giving two lectures at Kane Hall tonight: "The Sheer Ecstacy of Being a Lunatic Farmer" and "Can You Feed the World?" The nutball factor alone makes either lecture worth it, and your $25 ticket also gets you into a screening of FRESH at Central Cinema.

Details over here in the Chow Events calendar. (Also tonight: Beer for Birds!)

UPDATE: If you haven't seen Food Inc., you can watch it tomorrow night at 9 p.m. on KCTS. (Thanks, Jason!)
