Pope Benedict XVI met this morning with a group of sex-abuse victims and promised them “with tears in his eyes” that the Catholic Church would seek justice for pedophile priests and implement "effective measures" to protect young people. He also expressed his "shame and sorrow.” This marks the first time Benedict has met with abuse victims.
