On Tuesday, April 6 around 5:00 p.m., a man walked into the Cantina Guaymas restaurant downtown, looked around for a moment, walked behind the bar and swiped a $55 bottle of "Patron" tequila, according to a Seattle police report. The man then left the restaurant, "opened the bottle and took a swig." An employee of the restaurant then called police.

When the officers arrived, the suspect was sitting on a bench outside the Cantina and slurred, "I took it, I don't have any money, I'm just a fucking drunk," the report says. The officer attempted to read the suspect his rights, but he would not listen. The man arrested and booked into King County jail.

Also on Tuesday, around 1:00 a.m., a female employee of a Northgate convenience store reported that a white man in his fifties had just stolen a case of Busch beer (valued at $15 by a Seattle police report). The man approached the beer cooler, selected the case, and then started to exit without paying. The employee tried to stop the man from leaving, but he allegedly hit her forearm and told her he would hurt her if she didn't let him go. After the police arrived, the employee said she was not injured and declined medical assistance. An area check for the suspect was unsuccessful.
