On Saturday, March 27, police arrested an Orion Motel resident on Aurora Avenue after the half-naked suspect allegedly attacked a car with baking soda, then two men with his fists, charged at a woman, and finally, confronted responding officers with a guitar, according to a police report.

The trouble began on March 26, at approximately 5:00 p.m., when two men checked in to the Orion Motel on Aurora Avenue. According to a police report, after parking their car, the men noticed a stranger “staring at them through his front window.”

The next afternoon, the two men saw that baking soda had been poured all over their car. While they were examining their car, the stranger opened his window and allegedly said, "Do we have a fucking problem?" the police report says. One of the men responded that if the stranger was the person who poured baking soda all over the car, then yes, they had a problem.

More after the jump.

According to the report, the suspect “did not like this comment.” The suspect then charged at one of the men, allegedly punching him in the mouth.

Witnesses note told police that the suspect was screaming and yelling like a "crazy man.” He was also wearing nothing but boxer shorts. The two men ran from the suspect. Undeterred, the suspect charged at a woman nearby, who also ran. When police arrived, they were alerted to the sounds of furniture being stacked against the door from inside the suspect’s room. After repeated denied demands that he open his door, police allegedly warned the suspect that if “he didn't come out that they would be entering the room.”

According to the report, he “very loudly and very clearly said ‘bring it.’"

Police forced the door open, knocking over a bed and chair, which were both stacked against the door. The suspect “was standing in the center of the room holding a guitar in his hands like a baseball bat,” the report states. He had a “wild look on his face” and the report notes that officers “truly thought he was going to swing.”

After refusing to drop his guitar, he was “given an application of pepper spray.” Again undeterred, he ran towards the doorway where the officers stood, swinging the guitar. The guitar and his body hit the door, slamming it shut.

After forcing entry into the room, the report notes that officers found the suspect “hunched over his guitar, unable to be consoled.” Officers attempted to read him his Miranda rights, but he would not calm down to acknowledge them.
