We have a mystery, a discussion about whether extinction can be a good thing, a kid's book author, an author of an urban fantasy series, and a poetry slam tonight. Plus more!
There'll be a Suggests popping up about this one in a minute, but Paul Verhoeven is reading at Elliott Bay Book Company tonight. The director of Showgirls will be reading from his scholarly work about Jesus. I have no idea what to say about that. Anyway, tonight is the last night that Elliott Bay will be open in their Pioneer Square location (they're open tomorrow, but they'll close at 6 pm.)
But that's not all going on tonight by way of poetry. Kim-An Lieberman reads at Pilot Books tonight as part of Small Press Fest. Breaking the Map is a great book of poetry by the local poet, who you should read because she is awesome.
The full readings calendar, including the next week or so, is here. And if you're planning on staying in and you're looking for personalized book recommendations, feel free to tell me the books you like and ask me what to read next over at Questionland.
