if there's no hope to appeal to our sense of mob justice (which i think explains a good deal of mass psychology these days), then i agree it would be best to try to avert our attention every-time cable news focuses on tiger-woods instead of properly important events ...yep (and good luck at that)

Amen! I don't know what the fuss is over a filthy rich man getting all the snatch he can get. But then I felt the same about Bill Clinton.
