We have a collection of "firsthand accounts from victims of forced bondage about how they obtained their freedom," a grown man named Red Pine who is reading from his new translation of the Tao de Ching, and very fine visual poet Linden Ontjes at Pilot Books tonight. If poetry is your thing, the Ontjes reading is the place to be.

If poetry isn't your thing, you should hit up the Emerald City Comicon, which runs all day today. It's a really impressive lineup of indie and corporate comic stars, and you should go. You can even hit up the Ontjes reading afterward!

The full readings calendar, including the next week or so, is here. And if you're planning on staying in and you're looking for personalized book recommendations, feel free to tell me the books you like and ask me what to read next over at Questionland.

Red Pine (who also has a very fine translation of Cold Mountain Poems) and Linden Ontjes? Together? FTW!
