From the SPD Blotter:

On March 12th, at approximately 8:11 AM, a complainant called 911 to report that a black male dressed in black clothing had entered a local mission in the 300 Block of 2nd Avenue Ext. South and [allegedly] threatened to blow the place up. The suspect had a suspicious looking device taped to his wrist and had covered himself with black duct tape.

The SPD blotter notes that the suspect entered the mission looking for breakfast before informing staff that he was a vampire. He wanted people for breakfast. "The staff declined to serve him and asked him to leave," the SPD reports. The suspect then mentioned he was a space cowboy*, flashed what looked like a pipe bomb taped to his wrist, and allegedly threatened to blow up the building. By the time officers responded to the 911 call, the suspect had left the mission.

Officers found the suspect on the 500 Block of 3rd Avenue, where they ordered him to lie down and remove the suspicious device taped to his arm. He complied. The suspect was then taken into custody without incident, SPD reports, and Arson/Bomb detectives inspected the device, "which appeared to be a metal pipe with endcaps."

The SPD blotter notes that the suspect will be booked into the King County Jail for "Threats to Bomb."
