Molly Moon's Going Mobile

Posted by on Wed, Mar 10, 2010 at 2:51 PM

Seattle is getting a bit more mobile food. First we have the Mobile Chowdown this weekend. Then Molly Moon's is launching an ice-cream truck "soon." I assume the truck will go out to areas that don't have a Molly Moon's branch. I think they should head down to the Central District with some of that salted-caramel ice cream.

Hint for you: According to the blog, they are looking to hire some ice-cream-truck drivers.

Yeah, the Central District with all that disposable income they have down there. Yep, that'd be my first choice!

hey molly goon, go down past the CD to columbia city and get a taste of some FULL TILT ice cream - now that shit is the real deal - - a much tastier treat than that of the "wait in line" variety.

Went to Molly Moon and asked if they were bringing back my favorite (birthday cake) flavor and they said, "oh yeah, that was a really popular flavor! No, we're not bringing it back". WTF?

Bluebird is so much better. Bluebird is an example of an owner truly invested in his shop. He makes his own ice cream, serves it to his customers, offers a free meeting place to the community... Molly Moon hires chefs to make her ice cream and is completely behind the scenes. She is only in it for the money. Bluebird is there for the community. I know where I would rather give my money. And Bluebird's ice cream is so much tastier.
