Today in WHAT ABOUT THE CHILDREN!?!?!

Posted by on Fri, Mar 5, 2010 at 2:08 PM

Neighbors on Queen Anne are up in arms about an undesirable, non-family-friendly business that's moved in and is staying open way too late.

It's a mini-mart that closes at 9 p.m.

Queen Anne View blog documents the nuttiness.

Thanks, Steven.

Man, this is bringing back memories of my hometown. It was a righteous all white upper middle class bubble.

So glad I live in s.seattle now.

If you don't let your kids leave Queen Anne Hill, then we're just gonna have to bring a slice of the real world to them.

When I was a toddler, my mom liked having a mini-mart a block away. It gave us something to do during the day. We would walk very slowly over there, get an ice cream for me and a Diet Coke for her, and come back.

Parents these days...

If you don't bring home everything you need from Whole Foods in your GMC Yukon, you really shouldn't be living on Queen Anne, right?

God, these people must think they live in Bellevue.

I'm so glad I moved to Portland...

A corner store open until the late hour of 9 p.m.? Sounds like a recipe for crime and violence!

The Denny Regrade didn't go far enough north, clearly.

It's too bad that because of this store, some people's children will find out that cigarettes exist.

I don't get it. I thought that the trendy kids were out at the bar with their parents way past 9 anyways.

As I read the comments, I kept expecting to see one from Frasier or Niles Crane.

I think it is time for the Sisters (of perpertual indulgence) to stage an after school walk through the QA.

What a bunch of bull shit. Fucking scared pansies, how unbelievable. They need to move on over to Inverness where the closest store is a Metropolitan Market.
