Tonight! Last Public Hearing for Seattle Police Chief Search

Posted by on Fri, Feb 26, 2010 at 1:18 PM

Face it: Movies are played out. There are no good shows in Seattle—ever, but especially tonight—you're sick of the bar scene, and you have no friends. And the friends you do have, you hate.

What you really want to do on a Friday night is attend a public hearing on finding Seattle's next police chief! Did I mention it's raining?

Tonight is the final installment of three public hearings. The last two have been wildly successful. Please consider joining crowds of your like-minded peers at New Holly Gathering Hall from 5:30 p.m. and tell the Police Search Committee what qualities you want to see in Seattle's next police chief. There will be language interpreters available.

This is your chance to make a difference.*

*Other chances are right over here.

Dude. There's like Olympics tonight.

Get real.

Unless the candidates show up in a giant parade with our Olympic medalists from the region, I kind of doubt anybody cares, other than the non-citizen "stakeholders" who don't even live in Seattle ...
