The article missed the part where GM announces it will replace the Hummer with an army tank converted for civilian use. "Now you and your family can have the security of a tank while traveling to the mall!"

I was behind one of those things this morning and it was pissin' me off. The pussy driving was 10 under the speed limit! Pokin' along so he didn't use his gas up in 5 or 6 miles probably.

While I normally would never say that a man is defined by his automobile, every single person who ever bought one of those things is a complete douche. And an asshole.
I was in the National Guard and I slept in the real version. They were completely uncomfortable. Anyone who thought they were cool or bad ass for driving around in the fake version (complete with comfortable seats, satellite radio, etc etc) is a complete moron.
There was never a reason to buy such a thing. If you need a truck then buy a truck. If you like to go drive through mud then buy a jeep.
I bet the majority of Hummer owners got deferments from 'Nam.
