We have a young adult author; a discussion about nursing careers in the new millennium; a book about how Wall Street needs some good Christian values; and a book called The Way of the Toddler, which the author describes as: "The craziness of modern motherhood and the spiritual lessons I learned from my zen masters in diapers."

If you are unemployed, you might want to attend this one. Over at Pravda Studios, there's a discussion panel titled "Innovations & Careers in the Green Tech Industry." The panel will be manned by energy efficiency experts, and the talk will be followed by appetizers, a signing with the author of Return on Sustainability, and "networking possibilities." Get a job, hippie.

If you have a job that involves a computer and you are a geek, you probably spend some time reading Penny Arcade every once in a while. Jerry Holkins and Mike Krahulik wrote a book about Penny Arcade titled The Splendid Magic of Penny Arcade. It's kind of a sourcebook full of background material about the cartoon.

And at Elliott Bay Book Company, Rachel Kramer Bussel will read. Bussel is the editor of Best Sex Writing 2010. Two local contributors to the anthology will be reading here tonight, too. Set your priorities and decide: Job, geek, or sex?

The full readings calendar, including the next week or so, is here. And if you're planning on staying in and you're looking for personalized book recommendations, feel free to tell me the books you like and ask me what to read next over at Questionland.
