...but a team mascot as well? Here's hoping this is fake and—sorry—no time to check myself, as I'm running out the door. Too nice outside to spend the rest of the day dinking around on the web.

"What up" if I'm not mistaken that's Ebonics right? He speaks Ebonics already. Amazing and I thought Trisomy21 held the learning process back.

Don't know what this is supposed to be, but those shiny things under his eyes definitely look like they were added digitally--look at the identical reflections on them. (And I'm not sure, but I think the first two comments are racist somehow.)

Anyone hear about the 'Family Guy' debacle? The actress with Down's Syndrome pwned Palin on her lack of humor and her treatment of her son.

Not gonna be such an charming prop/mascot when he's 21. Of course, 2012 will be long gone by then.

It either came from her or is promoted by her - I first saw it on her twitter feed (I can take her in doses of 140 characters or less).

I'm no fan of Palin (or the way she uses her baby as a prop) but I don't really get why this is offensive. Don't people dress up their kids in support of sports teams all the time? If you look at her twitter account it looks like the event is a snowmachine race that Todd is involved in.

Palin knew about the Family Guy ahead of time, and approved. She thinks she can capitalize on every slight against her retarded kid, keeping her name in the news non-stop, if nothing else. But every time she gains sympathy, she loses stature as presidential material. Nobody wants a president who is eternally wounded and victimized and crying out for sympathy.

People want a president who will come rescue them or stand up for them when they're feeling hurt and victimized. Somebody who's so well put together they have time and energy and balls to spare to come save the entire freaking country if need be.

So pretty much whoever comes along and plays the role of savior and protector of Palin and her retarded kid, that guy will be presidential material, but surely not a quitter and complainer like Palin. I'm thinking Barack Obama will be the one to come through.

People actually want a President who is a World Boxing Champ and could win international dancing competitions too, but they don't want to admit that for fear of public ridicule.

Palin's posting a pic of her retarded kid isn't offensive. Her antics allow for plenty of justified criticism and comedy without getting that poor child involved!

As someone pointed out on the twitpic page: "The mere idea of someone doctoring the photo of a special needs baby is appalling."--- Meg Stapleton to CNN, June 2009, in response to this:

@11, Palin posted this on her own Twitter feed.

I submitted it as a Slog tip moments later. Thanks for the attribution, Dan. (Tho I'm sure I wasn't the only one.)

Also, what's up with the posterization/random blurring? Someone who has Photoshop but no skeelz.

Todd Palin dropped out of the race before it even started. Looks like quitting is a Palin family value.

2: There's a slightly different learning curve fo' Ebonics.

Not really. "Ebonics" is just as complicated and rule governed as any other dialect of English.

Do you already know the difference between

"He had that house" and "He been had that house"
"She walkin' to school" and "She be walkin' to school"
"He steady workin' there" and "He stay workin' there" ?

Do you know the rules that govern when the copula (forms of be) can be omitted?
