Some people will argue that Slog shouldn't follow the rest of Sher's career too closely. As commenter Greg once posted:
Now that the affair's finally over, Bart Sher can't go soon enough. The money's on the dresser, Bart. We'll leave it to the philosophers to decide who was more used.
But we're allowed to quietly obsess from afar for awhile, aren't we? Especially when his next production is going to be a musical version of Almodovar's Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown at Lincoln Center.
According to the tubes:
Screen sirens Salma Hayek and Jessica Biel, along with Broadway stars Matthew Morrison and Paulo Szot starring in a private industry reading of WOMEN ON THE VERGE... back in October of 2009. There's no word yet if any of the starry cast will appear in the production.
Sher's is going to be a career worth following. (You will notice we're not on an EsbjornsenWatch. He's just directing a revival of A Few Good Men, in case you were wondering.)
