With Aretha and Liza on board, they're apparently trying to sell Snickers to me.

Well well, All my years of teaching "The Homosexual Agenda" in the public schools is FINALLY paying off! It's seeping into the main stream advertising media.

Yes Matthew. Now go buy shirts 3 sizes too small, join the swing choir and watch "There's Something About Mary" for Brett's cameo.

How would straight guys NOT get that? Even if they don't recognize Aretha and Liza, they LOOK like divas, and the other dude in the back seat even called Aretha a diva. So yeah. Entertaining. :)

See, this doesn't make sense to me. The statement "You're not you when you're hungry" says that you're grumpy and testy when you're hungry--which is true--and that it's a bad thing. But turning into Liza and Aretha when you're hungry is...kind of an awesome thing. So, shouldn't you just let your friend stay hungry so that you can have awesome sing-a-longs on your car trip? Fuck the Snickers, let's have a gay icon road trip!

Wow - this makes me want to take a bite of a Snickers I've used to stir crushed Oxycontin into a bowl of mayonnaise.

I got it, ate a Snickers, drove to Vermont, and married a dude. Thanks, Snickers!

If it takes a Snickers to turn you into Liza or Aretha, what would it take to turn you into Kathy Griffin?

Emilio, A Whachamacallit bar.

At least there not guys who have to bite at anything danged in front of them, and who accidentally kiss due to an impromptu chowing contest.

I'm always frustrated with the mounds/almond joy thing. I want the dark chocolate and the almond.

Gay men who don't eat candy are dull.

Really??????

No, Dan, all straight men live in caves where they're sheltered from exposure to widely known pop culture figures, and all gay men are twiggy twinks and obsessive gym rats.

Please. You make it sound like they made an ad for Playboy using archived footage of Quentin Crisp (which would be HILARIOUS).

The gimmick here is open-minded straight guys co-opting worn-out gay associations, lingo, culture - "Chet was such a diva during the game last night." The marketing for this candy is to meek, inconsequential men of any sexual orientation. The message is "You are no one. Might as well have some candy."

No, I think Snickers already did the "Gay Superbowl" ad with THIS one. :)

Heh, "back of my seat". Middle School humor, but still funny.

Lesson : If you give a diva candy, they turn into cute (possibly gay) guys!
