International Is Iran Replacing the Green in Its Flag with Blue?

Andrew Sullivan posts links to photos of Ahmadinejad standing in front of images of Iran's flag where the green third of the flag has been replaced by blue. Radio Free Europe: "The move has led to speculation that the Iranian government is trying to get rid of the green in the Iranian flag because it's a symbol of the opposition movement that has been challenging the disputed reelection of President Mahmud Ahmadinejad."

I wish we could totally redesign out flag. Frankly I am sick of seeing our flag all over the place; it needs a major face lift.

They're trying to suck up to the Americans. Because, clearly, nobody else in the world uses red white and blue.

You know that your protest has had some effect when the country decides that they'll just change the nation's flag so as to remove the color that has become identified with said protest.

Man, this whole protesting the election results thing has been going on for awhile now. Don't the Conservatives have snappy wit to shame the Opposition into quieting down, like in our country? Is there no way to make Mir Hossein Mousavi into a "Sore/Loserman"?
