Dear Apple and Everybody

Posted by on Tue, Jan 26, 2010 at 2:27 PM

Can I have an e-reader that looks like this?

Circa 1983
  • Frog Design
  • Circa 1983

The tablet was called “Bashful,” in reference to the dwarf in the fairy tale Snow White. Bashful was created alongside the Apple IIe as an extension of the Snow White industrial-design language that Apple used from 1984 to 1990.

Now Frog Design, the firm that created those mock-ups, has unearthed some photos from its archives that show what the tablet might have looked like more than 25 years ago.

Also, I'd like a cell phone that looks like this:

Think of all the great crap you could add where the batteries used to go. I vote for an electric razor.

Screw adding things. With that sized battery and the power of the microwave transceiver in those old bag phones, you could cook a potsticker in your pocket while you told your mother about your day.

anyone know if they have belt holsters for someone who has an iPod, and iTouch, and an iPhone - all three?

a friend of mine up in Van is looking for one that will handle all three. bonus points if it's lesbian chic.

I automatically have no respect someone who needs, or wants, to carry an iPod, and iPhone, and an iTouch simultaneously. Even if it's a "joke." Merely owning all of those items at once strikes me as ridiculous. I can't even think about wearing them all on your hip. It hurts too much.
