What I'm Typing About This Fine Morning

Posted by on Mon, Jan 25, 2010 at 9:30 AM

The Tim Rollins and K.O.S. show that opened at the Frye this weekend. Anyone see it?

This one is Dracula (After Bram Stoker), 1983—a huge early painting on book pages that reflects the influence of '80s gigantists like Julian Schnabel, David Salle, and Leon Golub.

i went and saw it and really enjoyed it. the video right when you walk in is worth sitting thru for awhile especially if you're not super familiar with the program/tim rollins. the dracula piece and the pieces with famous politicians as animals were both really great.

Is that an ejaculating penis and a pair of boobs as drawn by an eight year old in the window?

Yes, I saw it! I was really impressed by the way the curators tied in local efforts of art/outreach with the KOS exhibit. Totally worth checking it out....
