Not a lot going on tonight. Just three events for you:

Ann Putnam reads at Elliott Bay Book Company tonight. Putnam took care of her mother, father, and her father's twin brother as they aged and died. Full Moon at Noontide is about that experience.

Jeremy Rifkin reads at Town Hall tonight. The Empathic Civilization: The Race to Global Consciousness in a World in Crisis is a book that looks a little more important after the earthquake in Haiti.

But if fun is your thing, you'll want to go to the South Park Community Center, where you will find a Cartooning Workshop tonight at seven. Local comics brainiac Greg Stump teaches a class on cartooning as part of SPL's Comixtravaganza celebration. Hooray for cartoons!

The full readings calendar, including the next week or so, is here. And if you're planning on staying in and you're looking for personalized book recommendations, feel free to tell me the books you like and ask me what to read next over at Questionland.
