It's Official: Apple's "Latest Creation" Coming Next Wednesday

Posted by on Mon, Jan 18, 2010 at 9:59 AM

Everybody already knew this was happening, and everybody already knows that this "latest creation" is going to be some kind of tablet computer (OR IS IT?), but Apple has now officially acknowledged they're having an event next Wednesday, and that they've created something. SOMETHING!

The painty theme of the invitation is sure to spawn a whole new round of speculation about this thing. Oh wait! It already has.

Weirdly, I haven't received my invitation yet.

@1 Hell yes. I have a ~20-year old MacClassic, a 9-year-old iBook, and a 6-year-old Powerbook that all still run just fine, with the only issues being batteries for the latter two. I also had a 6100 that I dumped quite a few years ago due to its bulk, though it was still running fine, albeit slowly. My 2-year old Dell laptop? Deader than a doornail, just past any warranty/support time I had. Luckily I can use it on my desk to raise the height of my Powerbook to a better viewing angle.

How soon before the Mayor requests his office all be using Apple Tablets? Because, you know, they are more familiar with them and can't use PC's.
