Every Child Deserves a Mother and a Father

Posted by on Thu, Jan 14, 2010 at 9:04 AM

This little girl's straight parents are raising her with... alligators. She plays in the cage with 'em. Nothing has gone wrong yet and, gee, I don't see how anything could possibly go wrong ever.

I'm not sure those crocodiles are alive. They never move except when someone is touching them, not even to turn their heads.
I think thy're nailed to the perch.

That looked like super8 converted to video. Please let us find out this is archival footage from the 70s. Otherwise, where is the number for CPS?

theres no way those are real alligators. neither of them move at all, and a little girl wouldnt be strong enough to pull a real one's head back like that.

we should be irritated that alligators are allowed to be pets, period.

@3: They're real. They can explode into full frenzy in a way that makes pitbulls look like TeleTubbies. Fucking idiots.

Can we really trust an animal trainer who uses "alligator" and "crocodile" interchangeably? Even a high school biology student should cringe at that one.

“Alligators are brutal predators, but they have reason. The reptiles understand that Margarita is just a child and they must not hurt her,” the head of the unusual family, Sergey Tarantin says.

And exactly how did they convey that to him? Human reason is a product of language. Alligators don't have language. Whatever reason they operate by, it's not ours.

What an idiot.

My first impression is that those look fake, don't move at all. Second was based on the speech, europeans, then upon seeing the description "Saint-Petersburg (Russia)", all was explained.

if you keep a gator well fed there's not a lot of real danger.
