The Restorative Power of Ben Cohen Photographs

Posted by on Wed, Jan 13, 2010 at 1:02 PM

After watching this graphic video of the Haitian earthquake and being tempted to spend the rest of the day fixating on our own long-overdue quake, I needed some life-celebrating diversion.

So thank God (who should be ashamed of what He allowed to happen to Haiti) for Ben-Cohen.com, featuring several dozen gawk-worthy photos of the English rugby star.

Acknowledging the tragedy in Haiti, but continuing the rugby thread, I got 2 words for you. Setanta. Channel. Best $15 per month I have ever spent.

Personally I think we need to worry a lot more about the Zombie Apocalypse than about some impending earthquake... But maybe it just seems that way because I'm watching Dawn of the Dead.

This type of beefy sportsman helped make Invictus a good deal of fun. That, and that they decided it would add verisimilitude to put Morgan Freeman in Mandela dentures.

So much better than raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens. Ben will soon hold everyone in his sexy, sexy sway.

In other rugby news, Ex-Lion Gareth Thomas recently revealed that he is gay.
BBC Sport - Rugby Union - Ex-Lion Gareth Thomas reveals he is gay

Former Wales and Lions captain Gareth Thomas has broken one of the major
taboos that surround sport by revealing he is gay.

The 35-year-old joins stars like basketball's John Amaechi and hurling's
Donal Og Cusack who have come out...

He revealed that he was "anxious about people's reactions" to him being gay
and that he felt he could not have come out earlier in his rugby career...

I'm so totally with you on this one David Schmader. There's something magically delicious about him right? He looks like he could fuck your brains out or spend an hour cuddling. Just sayin'...

Ben Cohen is definitely worthy of a shout out on the Slog, it's great you threw up some pics. 1) He's seriously hot and 2) He's a fan of his gay supporters, very cool guy.
