Creativity, Uniqueness, Nerve, Talent

The second season of RuPaul's Drag Race premiers on January 26. And I'm so excited. And you gotta love this pic of RuPaul as Barack and Michelle Obama. And an I the only one who spotted the dirty little acronym in RuPaul's catchphrase/advice to the contestants? Creativity, Uniqueness, Nerve, Talent. It's not up there with "these be her very c's, her u's and her t's, and thus makes she her great p's," but it was pretty damn funny...

I'm looking forward to it but I have to say, RePaul did not look well last season. I don't think it is appropriate to speculate on why he might look the way he did but I do hope that he takes care of himself.

He didn't look well at all and the vaseline on the lens to try to disguise the facial wasting just gave me a headache.

The whole thing was filmed in Barbara Walters Soft Focus (TM)...it was incredibly annoying.

I loved the first season but I am still pissed that Nina didn't win.

RuPaul was shocking ... maybe last century.

Move with the times.

Eh, she's not trying to be shocking, she's just having fun. And seems to be pretty good at it.

She's still pretty fab; but the show I am really looking forward to is season 2 of Jeffery and Cole's Caserole!!!

Agreed with 5, Nina should have won. The soft focus ain't so bad if you watch on logo's crappy video player online, you hardly notice.

I'll watch, but there's just far too much emphasis on realness. I'd far prefer fabulous to real.

WOW!! I FORGOT HOW RUDE PEOPLE CAN BE! I FEEL THAT NINA WAS EXCELLENT AT WHAT SHE DOES HOWEVER; THE EMPHASIS IS TO REPLACE RUPAUL AS THE NEXT DRAG DIVA. THE FABULOUS-NESS THAT NINA EMMULATES IS AN ANOMALLY ALL ITS OWN AND QUITE FRANKLY IS UNMATCHED WITHIN ITS SPECIFIC ART FORM. THEREFORE, IF THIS WAS “GRACE JONES’ DRAG RACE” AND MISS NINA FLORES DID NOT WIN I WOULD HAVE BOYCOTTED THE SHOW! YES MISS NINA FLORES SERVES IT TO THE KIDS….BOTH WITH REALNESS AND FABULOUSNESS. HOWEVER, MISS BEBE WAS THAT GIRL, AND WE ALL KNOW HER, SHE IS THE DOLL IN THE PAGEANT THAT SWEEPS THE CROWN BECAUSE HER PACKAGE WAS GARNISHED IN “CONSISTENCY”! SHE MAY NOT BE THE FAVORITE OR THE ONE THAT IS EXPECTED TO WIN THE THRONE ON THE OTHER HAND SHE IS THE GIRL THAT SERVED THE MISSION OF THE PAGEANT OVERALL AT LEAST A MILLI-SECOND MORE THAN ANY OF THE OTHER CONTESTANTS. HER IMPACT MAY HAVE BEEN VIEWED AS SUBTLE BUT POWERFUL IN ITS COMSUMPTION. BEBE IS THE EMBODIMENT OF ALL THINGS RUPAUL DRAG RACE! HAVE A GREAT YEAR BEBE AND THE BEAUTIFUL NINA FLORES!!!! AND TO ALL THE GIRLS THAT HAD THE COURAGE TO JOIN THE RANKS OF THIS HIGHLY RESPECTED ART FORM!!!
