Remember when "the bomb" meant the bomb, before it meant "the bomb?"
Interesting to read that the PETN had a TATP detonator, I'm still not sure what the whole liquid/syringe thing was supposed to to. TATP is sensitive enough to detonate by friction or impact, which would then detonate the PETN. Possibly a H2SO4+KClO3 or glyercine+KMnO4 ignition to detonate the TATP without a flame source, but that still seems needlessly complex. Whatever it was, it obviously didn't work and all he did was burn his junk.
Also, anyone else think it is stupid that a bomb also counts a a firearm?
