Books Afternoon Time Waster: Dictionary Edition

The Visuwords™ online graphical dictionary and thesaurus is really something special. Here's a screenshot of part of the results for "lucid," which is apparently one of my favorite words of the moment:

(There's a key on the screen to explain all the various lines that connect the words.) If anyone needs me, I'll be typing words in at random here all afternoon.

but is it a sign of my lack of breeding that the fun part for me was putting in 'lesbian', then grabbing the 'homosexual' ball and dragging it around the screen giggling???

I only wish it was a better dictionary with more depth. But it's a fun tool. Try a black-diamond word like "set".

Noone needs you except for your wife, lover, children, whoever you share you bed with, cat. I'll take the bait, what random words have you typed. Go on, continue fascinating. this to 'starting' to resemble a merrygoround that doesn't stop while the media bullies keep pushing the thing faster.

I tried this clever online graphical "Dictionary" today and entered these five words: Sex, intersex, gender, transgender and transsexual. Please don't mistake this bright shiny object for a technically accurate reference book, its not even close.
Under intersex it emphasizes hermaphrodite which is just one type of an intersex condition out of many.
For transgender and transsexual it graphs these as similar to homosexual. Wrong. Trans people are just like everyone else on the 'who one is attracted to' continuum. It is a condition independent from sexual orientation.
Gender conflates sex, gender and sexuality!
The pop-up abridged definitions are poor if not downright misleading as well.

FAIL
