There Are New Fancy Gadgets Coming

Posted by on Tue, Dec 29, 2009 at 1:57 PM

If you were doubting that Apple was going to release a tablet sometime in 2010, this roundup of rumors should do well to convince you that the tablet—maybe called an iSlate—will happen for real. There's also the fact that Apple is telling developers to prepare their apps for a big screen. This post, about predictions for the iPhone before it was officially announced, is hilarious and should prepare you for how the tablet could confound the expectations that are circling the internets right now.

And now, Google is preparing for a press conference on January 5th where, one assumes, they will unveil their official phone, the Nexus One, for the public.

It's a good time to be gadget-obsessed.

They're going to name it after a Microsoft owned website? Brilliant.

*Yawn!*

I've had an HP TX2500 tablet for almost two years now. This "news" is so last decade.

Is there like a "Tablet Death Wish" among Product Managers in technology...seems like every one of them have at some time released a "tablet computer" that sank in the market like a stone would into the Red Sea.

@5 ... visio? me i want the iWill, which is a sub-$100 iPhone with vid cam, cam, cell, app, music, and vid capability that uses the full datastream you can get in S Korea or Japan (about 20 times faster than our OLLLLLLLLD wireless in the USA)

I think the arm strap or pocket protector slide rule is extra with that, driving the cost up to maybe $110 USD.

@14: Yeah, and Philip K. Dick's daughter is pissed because Google didn't ask permission before using the name. See this NYT article.
