Taxi Art in New York

Posted by on Tue, Dec 29, 2009 at 4:19 PM

For the month of January, New York city cabs will be sporting art by Shirin Neshat, Alex Katz and Yoko Ono.

It'd work better in Seattle, where the cabs drive so slowly I'd be able to write a full review of the art before it passed. Bunch of turtles.

God bless you Jen, for noticing. The most aggressive, best drivers in other cities become cabbies. Here, the lamest, most risk-averse pathetic types drive cabs. What's up with that? When I'm a passenger, they uniformly drive me insane. And God forbid I have to follow a cab northbound on First Avenue. Is there some kind of conscientious objector status to driving aggressively that automatically directs cab drivers to Seattle. Help!
