I also like "So, is it safe to tweet now?" from CNET.

I made that comment in a "comment" like 3 months ago (about Google/Twitter).

Any Intellectual Property Rights for Comments?

I really wanted to give this buyout 2 1/2 stars, but it won't let me do a 1/2 star, so I gave it 3.

At what point are people going to turn on Google for its Microsoft-like practice of buying up companies to corner every segment of the online marketplace? They seem to be getting a free pass for a lot of questionable activities.

For the same reason Apple gets a free pass on a lot of their practices: Nerds love companies that do business as usual while maintaing the pretense of not doing business as usual.

Or in other words, "Ooh, shiny!" still goes a long way among otherwise smart folks.

Maybe Yelp can help Google weed out the millions of grotesquely erroneous map entries they've got. I must have spent an hour of my time trying to move the marker for the International District branch of SPL from First Hill (8th Ave) to 8th Ave. S. where it belongs. I started a MONTH ago, and it just got moved today. If you search for "library" in a google map of downtown, you still get inanities like "Orting Library" and "Skykomish Library", dropped there by morons or saboteurs. This bullshit is repeated in hundreds of categories in hundreds of cities around the world.
