Do you like watching smart people argue about God? You should probably check out Collision—a documentary of the debates between famous atheist Christopher Hitchens and theologian Douglas Wilson on the topic "Is Christianity Good for the World?"—screening tonight at 7pm at the Neptune. (The event's co-produced by the Secular Student Union of UW and Trinity Church of Kirkland, and tickets are just $5.)

Do you like watching crap? Well then.

Yes, Hitchens is a drunk blow hole but he's OUR drunk blow hole!!

Besides, I enjoyed listening to him read "God is not Great" on my iPod. Sorry I just like a drunk British accent.

Speaking of which, Prince Harry I'm all yours for the asking!!!

hitchens... SMART AND DRUNK!

I pre ordered this DVD and have had more than one viewing party at my apt over the past few monthes. It was interesting to me because its made by Darren Doane who used to do music videos for Tooth and Nail records, a local christian record company. but its not that bad... hitchens is funny and the other guy tries to be.

I'm sure lots of students who read the glowing splash review of Mars Hill Church in the UW Daily will be there.

Ugh. This is stupid. It's an argument with a Christian reconstructionist. both these dudes are book-smart, but life-dumb. It's a stunt for both of them to sell more books to their respective self-congratulatory camps.

I'd like to watch Chris Hedges take down the both of them.

If you like watching crap, go see The Road. Ugh. It's like they took the book, smashed it with a hammer and shook it up to completely destroy the pacing, and then made a screenplay verbatim from what fell out.

There's no way Collision could have less dramatic tension than that.

@7 The pacing? It was written with the pacing of a screenplay. I liked the movie better than the book, no joke.

Christopher Hitchens is impossible to listen to. He gets whiny and defensive and petulant if one doesn't agree with him. Even when I agree with him, I still want to slap the stupid right out of him. Arrogant little drunk twit.
