O They Will Know We Are Christians...

...by the teenage girls we terrorize and the rape attempts we attempt to incite.

Larry Robert Collins, a pastor at the Guildford Church of the Nazarene until last year, was sentenced in provincial court in Surrey Tuesday to 15 months in jail.... Collins first surfaced on police radar in June 2008 after B.C. authorities were contacted by police in another province about a disturbing video that originated in B.C. and involved a young teen. The video was a montage of girls in pornographic acts interspersed with photographs of the victim, taken from her Facebook account, with written messages inciting viewers to sexually assault her. “The words were telling people point-blank that this girl wants to be raped,” said Racine. “At the end of the day, it’s a video encouraging the rape of a child.” Collins also created online accounts impersonating the teen and linking to the video, which accumulated 45,000 hits. He also put her in danger by posting her name and hometown.

Racine said Collins knew the girl through a church function.

I'm not entirely sure I understand what happened here... I find the summary a bit convoluted. Was it the video that got the man in trouble or were there events that transpired before the tape surfaced that he was indicted for?

My understanding is that he was sent to jail for the video. This is very bizarre. I mean, what the fuck?

Notice also that he got only 15 months in jail, so he'll be out in just in time for Summer Kids' Bible Camp 2011.

Oh Jesus fucking Christ. I drove by that church on my way to school every day when I was in high school. I had friends that went to that church! Gross!

No idea why he would want to do this, but I am pleased to see the newspaper reports the church fired his ass.

@4,

I'm going to guess that he had/has some seriously fucked up rape fantasies and gets off on "sharing" that fantasy with others. I'm glad Canada has laws that cover this kind of violation.

Indeed, to all of the above. I agree completely. I am happy this man has been arrested.

Bizarre-o indeed! wtf?

I guess devoting one's life completely to a faith that is based on mythology and superstition can have madness-inducing effects on one's behavior.

So much for loving the sinner and hating the sin. Someone should give him a refresher course.
