Don't Kiss the Vampire

He might have swine flu:

A cinema has banned fans from kissing the cardboard cutout of a film's lead actor — because they might catch swine flu.

Teenage girls had been planting kisses on, or hugging, the cutout of Brit heartthrob Robert Pattinson — who plays Edward in The Twilight Saga: New Moon — at the Reel Cinema, in Crewe.

But the fun is now over after a warning was slapped across Robert's face.

It reads: "Please help reduce the spread of germs by refraining from giving Edward, or any other character for that matter, a kiss or hug."

Don't *kick* the vampire either.
They get tetchy when you do that.

Any idiot who kisses a piece of public property probably deserves to get sick from it.

I find it indicative of the mindset of Twilighteens that they find a piece of cardboard worthy of their attention in the first place.

It's only not creepy when a teen/tween girl does it, but I would pay to catch a middle aged woman in the act

Another ominous sign of Generation Me's infective inability to physically connect with others of their genre. After all you cannot be rejected by cardboard; nor do you have to initiate clever conversations with objects of your detached affection.

Helen Keller successfully fought to escape from her box of silence; alternatively, cyberspace-men have designed systems to put their junkie patrons back into a box of muteness. Except for the noisy click of teets and twixts, you'd never know the innocuous Bubble People are here.

But I can keep jacking off onto the Kristen Stewat cutout, right?

You shouldn't have used this photo without asking permission from the owner. And for your information, my daughter (pictured in this photo) is leaning on an Edward poster that we own and have bought brand new.

@7: You're right, of course. But you need to realize that these people are neither "responsible" nor are they "journalists." They're a bunch of drunk, drugged-up kids playing newspaper with somebody else's money.

You have no permission to use this image. If you don't remove it, I will complain to your Editor.
