You Should Go to Urban Craft Uprising Tomorrow

I went to Urban Craft Uprising today and pretty much cleaned up on my Christmas shopping* all at once. I bought a stitched cameo and a felted flower from Mucho Design, an adorable wee watercolor painting from Cakespy, a baby bib from Schmancy, some art from APAK, and much more.

I also think that I Made You A Beard is the awesomest craft idea I've seen this year.

It's open tomorrow from 11 am to 5 pm. If you can't make it out to Urban Craft Uprising, I would like to remind you that this year's Strangercrombie features an Urban Craft Uprising Mini Mall, with most of the items currently bidding under twenty bucks.

* All my non-book-related Christmas shopping, that is. I have yet to hit Elliott Bay Book Company and University Book Store, where I will buy the majority of my gifts.

The only problem with UCU is trying to hide and look the other way when Mrs. Fnarf almost catches me buying her Christmas presents there. Sometimes she gets close enough to hear her muttering "where the fuck IS he?"

I love UCU and have been going for years but it's gotten more and more crowded, which made it fairly unpleasant today.

I suppose it's not surprising but I ran into more people I know at Bizarre Bazaar...

Regarding your previous post about Pablo G. Callejo - "What's the art look like? It's kind of blocky and inept" - every word/s in
blue, Paul, except for perhaps UCU feels blocky and inept as much, "blocky and inept" included.

Thank you so much for buying my artwork! I hadn't realized I had sold a painting to a celebrity. The Urban Craft Uprising is seriously one of my favorite things about Seattle around the holidays!

I love UCU! I must recommend the artisan salts from www.secretsalts.com and the FANTASTIC soaps from www.estrellasoap.com (tea tree pumice ftw).

I did 90% of my xmas shopping at just those two places :)
