Former secretary of state Madeleine Albright will discuss the diplomatic deployment of her brooch collection, as well as President Obama's speech on Afganistan last night, on KUOW at 10 a.m. this morning. Her book Read My Pins: Stories from a Diplomat's Jewel Box came out in September.

Wow. I enjoyed the details in the Newsweek slideshow. You know, I would not expect that Madeline Albright's breasts were particularly firm, but more power to her!

Yeah, thanks for the link -- the slideshow and the stories behind the pins were excellent (I particularly liked the see no evil/speak no evil/hear no evil monkeys story, and the foxy lady one).... I wouldn't have thought that brooches would be so interesting.
