Reading Today: Thanksfic!

Posted by on Thu, Nov 26, 2009 at 10:16 AM

No readings today, obviously. Instead, because I just realized that it exists, I would like to direct you to some Thanksgiving-themed fan fiction. There is so much of it out there that I am going to name it Thanksfic.

Harry Potter Thanksfic:

The Room of Requirement was now a Muggle kitchen and he was attempting to put the turkey in the oven without Sirius destroying his hard work. Peter Pettigrew (who had been assigned baking pies) was slicing apples at the opposite counter.

Eureka Thanksfic:

The banter was fun and everyone was happy.

National Treasure Thanksfic:

Tired of her boys bickering, though more than a little amused, Abigail Gates cut in. “Riley slipped on a patch of ice. Ben laughed. Riley’s mad. At Ben and possibly all of nature. Hope you have some extra cranberry sauce.”

Here is some Lost and Grey's Anatomy Thanksfic, and here is an enormous collection of reviews of Xena: Warrior Princess Thanksfic.

If that doesn't make you thankful this Thanksgiving, I don't know what will.

It already has a name. It's called Holiday fic. There's tons out there for ALL holidays. There are holiday themed gift fic exchanges.

They are amazingly fun.

WOW. I just had no idea. In the last half hour of Thanksgiving, I am thankful for the rare moments when the internet reveals this sort of thing.
