All Hail the Brand-New Chow Calendar!

You look like a person who eats food. What? You also drink drinks? Now, especially for you, food-eater and drinks-drinker: The Stranger's Chow Calendar, with all the info on every important food and beverage event in our fair city.

Recommended currently:

• The Jones Soda Tofurky and Gravy Smackdown at the Bottleneck Lounge, with cocktails featuring Tofurky and Gravy Soda for as long as those in attendance can stand it (tonight!)

• Thanksgiving at world's best dive bar the Five Point (all the sides, only $20!)

Vegan Thanksgiving at Plum and Vegetarian Thanksgiving at the Georgetown Liquor Co. (the lion's share of the thanks goes to the mighty soybean)

...and more, more, MORE! Feast your eyes, people.

- Roasted Turkey, Stuffing, Cranberry Sauce, Brown Sugar Glazed Butternut Squash, Mandy’s Green Bean Casserole, Mashed Potatoes and Turkey Gravy, Pumpkin or Pecan Pie::

Or

- Lentil Soup or Salad, Pit Roasted Ham, Glazed Sweet Potatoes, Mandy’s Green Bean Casserole, ...Pumpkin or Pecan Pie

(and of course we have some Vegan and vegetarian options on the menu if you're not a meat eater)

and, if you want to start early, every day the 5 Point has a 6am - 9am happy hour. So even if you can't stay for the feast, come relax before you have to deal with your family.

oh, and Thanks for the new Chow Calendar. The Stranger is doing for food what it's done for music and politics in Seattle, and that's great news. Good work.

Do you have an RSS feed for this? It'd be much nice to plug this into my RSS reader and forget it than to have to check back at the website occasionally. The only RSS options I see on that page are for the whole stranger.com site.

The 5 Point sucks now. They have a new policy of making weak ass drinks. You can now taste the tomato juice in the Bloody Marys.

Hey Slog staff - go there and ask them what happened. Oh wait, it's not on Capitol Hill.
