The McGinn Town Halls

Posted by on Tue, Nov 24, 2009 at 9:03 AM

Mayor-elect Mike McGinn has completed his schedule for three town halls before he is sworn in as mayor. (Two were confirmed yesterday.) Probably safe to bet that these are going to be packed:

Monday, November 30
7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Northgate Community Center gymnasium
10510 5th Ave Northeast

Tuesday, December 1
7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Langston Hughes Performing Arts Center
104 17th Ave South (17th Ave. & E. Yesler Way)

Wednesday, December 2
7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Paul Robeson Performing Arts Center at Rainier Beach High School
8815 Seward Park Ave S. (Located at the S. end of the Building near the gym off S. Henderson St.)

These are all east of I-5 - guess those of us west of I-5 will have to use our cars since there's really no good cross-town public transit. 5 town hall meetings might have been a better idea - one in NW and one in SW - as it is we have NE, E and SE. Not really a good representative slice of the city.
