Reading Today: Nobody but You!

Posted by Paul Constant on Sun, Nov 22, 2009 at 10:04 AM

Nobody's reading today.

Here is a trailer for a short story by Colson Whitehead that appears in the second volume of Electric Literature, a nifty new literary magazine with amazing authors like Lydia Davis and T Cooper in every issue:

Maybe you should think about buying Electric Literature today. Or if you prefer your literary magazines to be free and entirely on the internet (but still good), you should look at the second issue of The Orphan.

The full readings calendar, including the next week or so, is here. And if you're planning on staying in and you're looking for personalized book recommendations, feel free to tell me the books you like and ask me what to read next over at Questionland.

I seriously think if Dan would have posted this, with one sentence - "Here is a trailer for a short story by Colson Whitehead" - and included just the last 15 seconds of that clip....... there would be 30 comments by now. I shouldn't seriously think.

Bought it via my iPhone, read the first two and a half stories-- good so far. I surprised myself when I decided to pay the five buck price for something digitally published, but I don't regret it. Thanks for pushing me over this next digital threshold.

I regret this comment, my first comment and all previous comments. Isn't this Christmas time? The time of giving. I could give a shit about your comment.
