Free Lunch Countdown

Posted by Bethany Jean Clement on Wed, Nov 18, 2009 at 11:32 AM

Half an hour until free sirloin sliders (three to an order) and fries from the brand-new "Sip. at the wine bar & restaurant" downtown.

Sip. may be found adjacent to the main library at 909 5th Ave., and the freebies occur from noon to 1 p.m.

Sip.'s motto is "Life’s fast. Sip slow." And use a lot of periods.

The use of the period after the name of that establishment is basically reproducing a logo, which you shouldn't do without receiving advertising dollars, so I think in running copy the period should be omitted. Plus, it's really annoying in running copy, you have to admit.

The name of the restaurant is "Sip". It is not "Sip.", no matter what the dips who did their branding think.

Are you getting kickbacks or something?

Oh holy fuck I hate the word "sliders". It's right up there with "moist" and "slacks".

@9: It's FREE—this was a reminder for people who enjoy freedom. As you were.
