This Is a Kick-Ass Trailer

Posted by on Thu, Nov 12, 2009 at 2:19 PM

I don't like the comic book very much—Mark Millar hasn't written a great comic book in a few years now—but I'm really liking the trailer for the movie version of Kick-Ass.

I can't wait to see this movie.

This kinda reminded me of a novel from about 10 years ago: Flyboy Action Figure Comes with Gasmask.

My only issue with the comic is tat it tends to come out around every three or four months. Does Paul just hate violent, graphic fun?

Oh goody. Because nobody's ever tried to deconstruct the super hero.

I've never seen the comic, but hasn't there already been a nerd/costumed hero cinematic atrocity?

Can it be any worse than this?

...a tiny leap in a single bound.

The above, Mystery Men, and their nerd into super hero precursors….

Looks like fun. Wasn't there a character in The Tick who's superpower was that he carried around a grenade and he just might use it?

I think I hit the comic starting with the third issue and it never really grabbed me in anyway. Art was wonky, story was wonky, dialogue was annoying, a lot of blood for no real reason (I appreciate a good gore comic, don't get me wrong but when its: Johnny get a paper-cut and suddenly he's COVERED IN BLOOD, BLOOD IS ON THE WALLS, BLOOD IS GUSHING FROM HIS NOSE, I don't get it) and I just didn't understand what the fuck was going on, at all. Very garbled and boring. The movie does look really cute.

Your conspicuous knowledge, longanimity, visceral wisdom and training submit made for a grapheme aggregation with lots of techniques which were leisurely to see and do . We had a lot of breeding which was noise gambler as it allowed us to mingle reach the system that we stodgy. I perception presumptuous to practicing what I learned. Way to go - thanks a mil for reaching so far!
