I'm glad Griffey's coming back. Anyone who thinks otherwise has no heart.

@ 1, that is nice, but it will be a minor miracle if he plays at anything that resembles a major-league level. The M's might as well kiss their chances of making the playoffs goodbye.

There go our chances for getting Matsui in the middle of our lineup. Junior should be coaching at this point.

I thought the headline read, "A new Dinosaur Jr is discovered".

:-) @4 ... me too!

i sure hope the guy in the video is okay - otherwise it's totally awful for it to be used for entertainment.

I was shocked at that video, since that guy is probably dead.

Upon closer examination, though, I've decided that it's a fake.

And we're all going to protest Obama's escalation in Afganastan right? Right? I mean if it had been McCain everyone would have been shitting themselves with outrage.

I'm sure several pixels were horribly maimed during the (re) making of that video, and the snowboarder is fine.

@7: I took the week off from writing letters, but pretty much, yeah.

Can I just register a "no" vote for these Snowboard videos?

I recall McCain and Obama being pretty consistent on Afghanistan. It was Iran and Iraq where they differed dramatically. No one who voted for Obama should be surprised by this.

Every species is a "link" between earlier and later species, so every new species discovered is a "missing link". Each link that is filled in creates two more missing links. Since evolution occurs via very tiny changes, we're not likely to run out of missing links any time soon.

Sorry. It's a pet peeve.

That video is fake - I saw the original long ago, and the guy just doesn't quite clear the road and slams into the snowbank. No truck anywhere in sight.
