@2 The message is that warped "Christian eliminationism" purveyed by believers in white-skinned invisible sky fairies, when confronted by warped "Islamic eliminationism" purveyed by believers in dark-skinned invisible sky fairies, ends up creating a culture of hate and fear, resulting in crimes such as these being committed in the name of a supposed deity, upon innocent bystanders.

Loveschild, how is the beating of a priest by a marine not news? Are you saying that what appears to be a bizzarre and hateful crime on an innocent man of the cloth should be covered up because the attack was done by a member of the miltary? Are you saying that members of the military are more just, rightious, and holy than a priest, and thus their crime should not be even noted, let alone punished?

This story's got everything. The Fox bug in the video, flagwrapping, bearded non-English speakers, militarized Islam-hatred, waxing, gay idolization of the modern soldier, a terrible play on the dual meaning of "Greek" - a rich stew.

@11, sorry - went outside the box and didn't source it. This morning I'd read NYTimes reporting the soldier told the cops he only hit the priest with a tire iron, then chased him three blocks, after he heard the priest yell "Allahu Akbar".

The Marine Corp will get rid of that scum faster then Dan gets rid of his tighty-whites at an orgy. The one cardinal sin for which there is no forgiveness is embarrassing the Corp. Attacking a priest with a tire iron? Publicty about posing for gay websites? Either one alone would be enough to get him "administrativly" severed from the Corp.

Getting out of the military might be exactly what he wants rather than get his ass shot off in Afghanistan. Personally, I'd send him off to spend some quality time with Muslims who really do want to kill him.
