Slog Happy! Thursday! With Rabbit Mole Tacos!

Posted by Megan Seling on Mon, Nov 9, 2009 at 12:31 PM

This is Solos bar--all this can be yours come Thursday.
  • This is Solo's bar—all this can be yours come Thursday.
This month's Slog Happy is in a neighborhood that we've NEVER been to before! (Well, a neighborhood Slog Happy has never been to before—I go there every day. I live there.) It'll be at Solo on lower Queen Anne! Solo is located at 200 Roy St, and it currently has a four-star rating from Stranger readers. It's a classy joint, it's cozy, and the folks are always friendly.

Solo's usual happy hour runs from 5-7 pm every day, but because they LOVE Slog readers, they're extending it an extra hour! Just for you! So you can get cheap drinks until 8 pm. Happy hour specials include $2 Rainiers, $3 wells, $4 housemade Sangria, and $5 signature cocktails. (And check out their cocktail menu here.)

They've also just started a new winter food menu, with rabbit mole tacos, mini vegetable pot pies, and catfish banh mi sliders.

Delicious!

Slog Happy starts at 6 pm. See you there!

Harvesting all of those rabbit moles must be a painstaking process.

$2 Rainiers!

Yum.

I think they use a mole harvester, but it does take a while to put the whiskers and giant coke bottle glasses on it.

@3 EVERYONE should go to Slog Happy one of these days! Free books! And Solo is dark and cozy, so you can find a spot in the corner to lurk a little bit before drinking, I mean working up the courage to talk to folks. Everyone's nice! I promise!

i read that too fast...thought it said "RABBI Mole Tacos"...which doesn't sound kosher.

Neither rabbits nor moles are kosher. No cloven hooves.

@6 Agreed. Fortunately, I never eat at Slog Happy anyway (Twilight Exit being the notable exception). That usually gets me in trouble the next morning, but I'm alwayts just so busy talking to all of you wonderful people!

good call Slog. Solo's rabbit mole tacos are awesome, and their bartenders are a nice bunch too.

Are Meow Mix tacos also on the menu?

Rabbit moles would make cute pets. Until they dug up the yard and ate your garden. Then you can make tacos out of them.
