Jezebel offers a must-read tour of the Scientology Holiday Catalog. I'm surprised by how many books are in this catalog, but the fancy e-meters are nice, too. Happy Xenu Day, everybody!

Wow, a portable CD player! In its own backpack! How utterly convenient -- and only $300!

Those books look like a contract job from the Eaton Press. Hilariously awful. Nigerian goatskin! Your mama's ballsack, more like.

What every Scientologist needs for Christmas is a good swift kick in the ass.

December 25th was the day L. Ron Hubbard raised Jesus from the dead and administered a personality inventory to him.

It's like I was saying during a seance with the spirit of Ayn Rand - "you get nothing, because you're too selfish".

Forgive me, I appear to have written "Eaton" for "Easton".

Holy shit - they're charging $4800+ for an e-Meter? I could build one of those with $5 in parts from Radio Shack. My step-uncle hooked me up to one of those things once, it's nothing but a cheap resistance meter.

Thank you, thank you for a good Friday laugh. I needed it. I particularly liked the comment at the website for young adult fiction, "Is that you Xenu? It's me, Tom Cruise."
