I voted weeks ago.

Most of my friends voted last week.

But ... two of my friends literally just voted, filling out their ballots last night.

Today we take Seattle - and our county - and our state - BACK.

I always wait until Voting Day to vote. Voting early is like leaving the stadium before the last play.

Your nice web page told me I already voted ... I guess I'll save that stamp I panhandled.

You also need a "Can't vote because of age/geography/citizenship/felony-conviction" option.

Eli, quick! Post about the Mock Election held in Washington State schools and the results! Beat Dom and Dan to it!

The results are at the Secretary of State's office's website.

4% won't. I wonder how many in that 4% can't as opposed to can't be bothered.

@6 I for one won't vote because I'm not registered to vote here. I did, however send in my absentee ballot for the Petersburg municipal election more than a month ago. So maybe I should have said so, so long ago.

Too bad we can't register to vote on election day like they do in Idaho. And all of Canada ...

Voted this morning, though my wife canceled out one of my votes...

I hate hate hate the mail in balloting. It doesn't feel like I voted at all.

@10 I know. I loved going to the poll and getting a sticker letting everyone know I did my civic duty. I think next year I'm gonna wait till election day to drop it off at the accessible station so it feels more authentic.
Hey Chris Frizzelle, are they handing out stickers at Union Station?

@Will: You know, the way I feel about it, if you're too fucking stupid to register before election day, you don't deserve to get a vote.

If you vote you don't need to register again. I don't miss the polling place at all. They change where you vote every time you move. And standing in the rain is no fun either.

@13, I miss the sweet little old people that thanked me for voting. And the bake sales. And actual ballots, that got fed into voting machines immediately and registered electronically to be tallied, unlike these fucking awful mail in things that will be streaming in for weeks and weeks while we wait to hear the outcomes.

@12 - well, if you drunks could turn out more than 3 percent, I'd maybe listen to you.
