SECB Denied Face Time with Susan Hutchison

We haven't been on great terms with King County Executive candidate Susan Hutchison but it is election day and she made one stop in Seattle (in University Village, which is sort of like Seattle) on her whirlwind trip from the suburbs and we thought we'd give her some camera time. She was waving at cars, wearing a blue coat bedecked with a giant American flag patch.

We walked up and she smiled at the SECB because she thought we were supporters, and, god knows, she must be famished for supporters within the city limits. But when we identified ourselves as members of the SECB and asked Hutchison if she could please say a few words for the camera, Hutchison said she didn't have to say anything to us. Then—smiling her brilliant smile—turned on her heels and ignored us.

I don't why the SECB is so hard on Hutchison. Her color choices are truly Teletubbiesque -- which means she for the gays, right?

she'll be yesterday's news tomorrow anyway.

but i find the stranger's approach high-larious.

"hey, bitch, why won't you talk to me? bitch!"

If she wins what do you we have to do to call for a recall?

@4 - it's fairly easy, we just need one person of standing (a PCO would do) and she has to take at least one action.

Not many signatures needed - we could gather those in a few hours on the Hill and in Fremont.

U Village? So she chose the corner nearest 520 to stand on so she can make a fast break back to the Other Side? Thanks for getting your tootsies wet, Sue.

U-village is nice due to it being "Windermere Adjacent" and near to that awful, evil, neighborhood consuming hospital for children.

Nic: Satire, dude.

Typical, that the SECB would be fixated on her heels.

Why does King County need someone with this lack of graciousness for Executive? When she mentioned anything in her campaign about inviting people to discuss issues as a way of resolving them, did she mean smiling and turning her heel once the parties were seated?

She must sense she's going to lose this.

Photo intelligence working here, but isn't that Levi Johnston in back of Suze? Or is that her security/son?

Two articles down you talk about McGinn at Red Square...but here you disparage beautiful Susan H for being at U. District ?

@10: Graciousness? When someone (like Slog) calls you a stupid cunt over and over you expect graciousness?

I mean, the Stranger can be as mean-spirited and one-sided as it wants in its coverage. But then to expect Hutchison to be sweet and gracious is pretty ridiculous.

I have no idea what SECB stands for and can't find it on google.

@16, it's pretty easy to figure out since it's also the by-line of this post -- "by the Stranger Election Control Board". There you go. SECB.
