Richard Conlin's Party at Paloma

Posted by The Stranger Election Control Board on Tue, Nov 3, 2009 at 7:50 PM

At 7:30, there are just over two dozen people here. Among the attendees are Seattle Theater Group's Kate Becker and the Vera Project's Shannon Roach. The general feeling is that Conlin is a lock in this race. One subdued reveler noted that the big question was whether he would win by 60 percent or 70 percent. The place is a Mediterranean joint, and the spread includes phyllo dough cheese puffs, meatballs, and pita with hummus. The food is quite good. Asked how he thinks he's doing, Conlin quips, "Well, my opponent's got no votes." He seems confident that, even once the votes come in at 8:15, he'll be looking good.
