Port Pathos and a Story about Cheating

Posted by on Tue, Nov 3, 2009 at 8:37 PM

Is it a bad omen for an election-night party to be watching a reality show called The Biggest Loser?

Yes.

The Max Vekich people are watching The Biggest Loser and he's dragging far behind Tom Albro: 56 to 42-ish. A squeak and a moan went through the crowded suite at the Westin. But people immediately wanted to accentuate the positive, cheering on Dow and McGinn. Max is in a corner, smiling and chatting bravely.

After we started typing this item in a quiet room of the Vekich suite, a man in a ponytail regaled us with a story about how his ex-girlfriend cheated on him with a married elected official in King County whose name you definitely know. "She gave him a blow job in the car in front of the house we owned together in Ballard," he said. "She was working on a campaign with him."

"That's why I don't trust any politicians," he said. "This guy is married and super-popular and I guess my girlfriend was attracted to power. This dude cheats on his wife like crazy."

So he's at the election results party because... he has a suppressed cuckold fantasy? I've heard about that.

I agree with #1. Who? If they are a public official
I think this kind of thing is fair game. At least
give some hints? Reagan Dunn is the only guy
in KC politics that is even remotely BJ worthy!
